If you’re looking for belonging and family, you’re in the right place.
Our family is about all things adoption—physical and spiritual. My husband and I adopted our son through international adoption, had helpful guidance along the way, and want to pay it forward. I will be sharing valuable resources to navigate the adoption process.
As a Jesus follower, I am also thankful to be adopted into the family of God. The orphan is near to His heart. As His children, we are privileged with God’s rich inheritance. Through this website and blog, you will find encouragement in this adventure called life as an adopted child of God.
I was diagnosed with Turner’s Syndrome at 19. Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder found in girls that causes short stature, and lack of typical sexual development, thus causing infertility. This diagnosis was heartbreaking. I was a girl who loved to play with dolls. I had my very own live baby doll, my baby sister, who was born to our family when I was ten and dreamed of being a mom to a big family.
As time went on, I came to understand the beauty of adoption. I began to see that being a mother was more than just 40 weeks of carrying a baby in your womb. It was nurturing a child and helping them to be able to navigate this world and fly on their own. As a Jesus follower, I am also thankful to be adopted into the family of God. The orphan is near to His heart. As His children, we are privileged with God’s rich inheritance. Through this website and blog, you will also find encouragement in this adventure called life as an adopted child of God.
I am married to James, and we have one young adult son named Drew, who we adopted from Russia as an infant. We reside near Rockford, Il, about 90 minutes west of Chicago. Besides Jesus and my family, I love walking, hiking, traveling, HGTV, Hallmark movies, and American Ninja Warrior. Reading has been a passion since I was young, and I still get in trouble for reading when I should be doing chores.
I would love to know you better and how I can serve you. Feel free to connect with me, as I will answer all correspondence.
